my first encounter with html was in 2024, when my IT class had a unit on it for a couple of weeks. i enjoyed it a lot! i made a fansite for cult of the lamb, and i made it poorly at that, but i poured my soul into that thing. i had never experienced that genre of self expression before, that boundless canvas for creativity. my site lacked css and was formatted poorly, but it was pink and covered in kaomojis and i loved it, and since then i've had a curiosity and excitement for personal websites that, beyond browsing neocities and slapping layouts together in spacehey, had been unexpressed until very recently.
i wanted a site because i wanted a space that would grow with me, developing to perfectly suit my desires and serve as a documentation of my self. modern social media has become boring to me, and i tire of having to spread myself out over multiple sites to have everything i want included in my experience. im bored of limitations and repression! so much so that i'm diving head first into a hobby i haven't tried properly in years. i can't wait to watch this space grow, thank you for joining me! : 3
sound exciting? no? thats okay! i wish you fun as you browse through more sites : )
